John Grant

Executive Director of the National Association of Responsible Home Rebuilders and Investors


John Grant is a Washington, D.C.-based lobbyist specializing in association management and political intelligence services. He is the executive director of the National Association of Responsible Home Rebuilders and Investors, a group representing residential real estate investors. As executive director, Grant manages NARHRI's state and federal advocacy campaigns and develops policy positions on behalf of the industry.

Grant previously worked as a lobbyist in the Washington, D.C. office of Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin, where he provided association consulting services to financial services clients. He also provided political intelligence services to hedge funds and Wall Street analysts on a variety of issues, including subprime lending, tort reform, taxation and trade.

Grant has worked as a reporter covering financial services committees and the Securities and Exchange Commission for institutional investor newsletters. He has also provided print commentary to the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and the Washington Post on several federal and state legislative issues, and appeared on C-Span, BBC and ITV television networks providing election night commentary.

Grant is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md.
