How to Find a Mobile Home Park Manager | Add Comment

Know what they say about generalizations? They're generally as wrong as they are right! And that's certainly true with this piece of advice. Follow it ONLY if hiring for a landlease (nee manufactured home) community of maybe 50 sites in size! For that matter, anyone giving advice about this particular realty asset class, 50,000 strong in the U.S. and referring to them as 'trailer parks' is really showing his/her true colors. And you've gotta ask yourself, is this 'advisor' actively involved in the MHBusiness as a present day owner or not? Not. Anyway, think about it for a moment. If YOU own a 100 plus site landlease community, it's going to be worth North of 1 million dollars. Are you, for a minute, going to entrust its' management to the type person recommended by this former LLCommunity owner/oeprator. I think not. As I said at the beginning of this article, be careful what you read; be even more careful about what you believe! GFA George Allen, Realtor, CPM, MHM Consultant to the Factory - built Housing Industry & the Landlease Community Real Estate Asset Class Oh yes, and also a 30 year (present day) owner/operator of landlease communities throughout the Midwest. want to talk further? Better yet, visit our website: www.community-investor.com and while there, check our our weekly blog relative to manufactured housing industry news and LLCommunity 'insider information' you'll find nowhere else.

I don't think I'd read too much into what they call the communities. Most people wouldn't even know what a landlease community is, where as everyone knows what a trailer park or mobile home park is. I think this article was meant for readers who are new to the business, rather than experienced investors. That being said most new investors will probably get their feet wet by starting out with a smaller community.

i am definitely in disagreement with this letter of advice. nothing ever happens? a warm body? are you kidding me? maybe if there are 10 houses and they are all cousins i'm in the industry and there are a lot more moving parts than this. there are handful of communities that run themselves, but for the most part there is a lot to manage on a daily basis. poor investment advice, period but we are in america and to each his own.

It is clear that Frank Rolfe, in regards to Mobilehome Park Management, is uneducated, inexperienced and uniformed in regards to the Industry and Management of Mobilehome Parks. This "article" is insulting to any Mobilehome Park Manager that takes pride in their HARD work and Proffessionalism. If this is the accepted attitude of the employees of NuWire Investors I woulD strongly recommend that investors look to for more informed, better educated and less condescending people to seek advice from or invest with. Shame on you Mr. Rolfe
