    Very good article, Cali. I think you make a number of excellent points. I would add that in undertaking due diligence on a film project, it is important to look beyond the producer's track record. That's a great place to start, but you also need to understand the director's capabilities, the actors' market value, and perhaps most important, the distribution plan for the film and the overall economic structure. You really should have an independent advisor with deep experience in the film industry go through the deal points in order to make sure you're not missing anything. There is tremendous potential in film investments, but they are extremely complex. If all of the pieces are there, a lot of money can be made. But if anything is missing, then the whole cash flow projection can quickly fall apart.
