Timber Investments in Panama | Add Comment

  • Due Diligence a Must 10/29/2007
I own several thousand acres of land in Panama and have been throughout the country for 10 years. Many of these lumber investment companies have been proven complete scams. The tax structure is in place but teak does poorly in Panama as a result of soil and weather. Research past teak scams...there are many in this country. Ask what company is the leader in teak production then consider that answer carefully.

    • ForestFinance took over the retail business 8/13/2009
In May 2008, ForestFinance, the former sales and distribution company of Futuro Forestal, took over the retail business of Futuro Forestal. Futuro Forestal`s management has been working on big-scale projects for institutional investors for the past couple of years. During the development of these projects, the decision was made by the old management and ownership to hand over the business to ForestFinance. ForestFinance offers forest investment products suiting all investment levels from 30 euros per month to own forests. The new product "Cacao Invest" offers annual disbursements, which begin as early as the 5th year. Yields result from cacao, timber, seed and carbon credit sales. Information about the previous Futuro Forestal and now ForestFinance products is available under http://www.forestfinance.de/index.php?id=80&L=1
