The NuWire Wiki is a collaborative project for sharing free content about alternative investing. Articles on the wiki are written by volunteers from around the world. Visitors do not need specialized qualifications to contribute, since the goal is to write articles that cover existing knowledge. We do, however, require that contributors register. This is to help limit vandalism and spamming on the site.
NuWire has put features into the wiki that allow contributors to gain some exposure by contributing to the NuWire Wiki. This is to provide incentive for many of the service and investment providers in the industry to share their knowledge with the investor community. This is not a license to use the content portion of the wiki as a way of promoting websites, services or products.
Most articles can be edited by anyone with internet access by simply clicking the easy edit button on any page. In fact, even this page can be edited. Any registered user is welcome to add information, cross-references or citations, as long as they do so within NuWire’s wiki editing policies and to an appropriate standard. Substandard or disputed information is subject to removal. Users do not need to worry about accidentally damaging NuWire’s wiki when adding or improving information. The system keeps track of all changes. Obvious errors can be fixed quickly by any of NuWire wiki’s registered users and editorial mistakes are easy to reverse.
It is important to note that NuWire’s wiki is an ongoing project to which any registered user can contribute. This means that the information should be treated differently than that coming from a printed reference. In general, older articles will tend to be more comprehensive and balanced. Newer articles will be more likely to contain misinformation, opinions, vandalism or link spam. Unlike a paper reference, NuWire’s wiki is continually updated, which means topical events and relevant new additions to older articles can be added much more quickly.
