Formatting your Wiki article with a style consistent with other articles on the NuWire wiki will increase clarity of the content for readers and maintain the professionalism of the site. Content authors are encouraged to apply the following guidelines when creating content. Contributors who have a question about article format not addressed here are encouraged to write and post the article using their best judgment, and then pose the question to the NuWire editorial staff.

Font effects
Font effects should be used sparingly. Italics should be used for publication titles, foreign words and emphatic phrases. Do not use bold or capital letters for emphasis. Bold letters should be used for headers and for the first occurrence of the keyword or the title of the article.

Dividing sections
When creating sections within an article, write the section header on its own line in bold print. Double-space before, not after the header. Titling the section should follow similar guidelines as when titling your article: Short, nominal phrases are preferred. However, only capitalize the first letter of the first word, proper names, and abbreviations.

Paragraphs within each section should also be separated by a double-space.

Images
Contributors are encouraged to add images to articles. Users can upload their own photos or photos for which they have the rights to share. Contributors may also use services like Yahoo! Image or Flickr, but are asked to abide by these companies' terms of service and to cite the source appropriately.

Please remember three key guidelines when choosing images for your article:

• Topicality: Pictures should be directly related to the content, enhancing the article and not detracting from it. Images included solely for humor or entertainment are discouraged.
• Tastefulness: Pictures should not contain any obscene, sexually explicit, violent, or inflammatory material.
• Quality: Please do not use poor-quality photos or illustrations. Images need not be professional quality, but should represent their subject matter clearly without excessive pixelation or discoloration.

Bulleting
As demonstrated above, double-space before a series of bullet statements. The editor will automatically place a space afterwards, and if the bulleted statements end the section, put an additional space before the succeeding header.
