A Negative amortization loan is a loan amortized so the borrower pays back less than the full amount owed each month to the lender and the amount not yet paid is added to the principal balance of the loan. While initially monthly payments may be low, usually a certain agreed date exists where payments must increase substantially to pay for the loan.
