Pay Attention to the Floor Boards
Do you want to go with hardwood or vinyl floorboards? The choice is ultimately yours. As far as we are concerned, this will depend on the type of house, your budget, and the practicality.
For instance, we would recommend using vinyl floorboards for high-traffic areas in the home and hardwood floors for less trafficked areas. This is because increased traffic means there’s a greater likelihood of scuff marks. This might be okay on vinyl flooring seeing as it can be hidden. However, on hardwood floors, those will stick out like a sore thumb. Ultimately, the choice is yours.
Change the Doors
This includes the main doors, kitchen doors, bathroom doors, bedroom doors and garage doors. If you cannot change all of them, look for ways to polish those inside, so they look great. Just make sure that they are still sturdy and in great shape before painting them over.
There’s no sense in painting a rotted door that will most likely be discovered by the home inspector hired by the buyer. That said, make sure that all prominent doors are at least changed and painted in bright new colors.
